Darkshar Chronicles - Foreword

Few are the papers and documents I've found on this topic and it's taken me, the scholar of old, a long time to piece together what I've procured. Alas, a name was almost entirely eradicated from history, wiped from records of old, along with the estate burned to the ground and replaced with a small park that seemingly has always been there.

I am old as I scribble these words and I do not fear death, for it is right around the corner, as youngsters these days say. Should I be found dead by other means than time, you, my apprentice, must publish this work and ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands until it is made available in the public and private domains of scholarly works.

Though the dripping dagger of the Shadow folk may find me, this piece must live on. And if indeed it has, and you, dear reader, are not my apprentice, then I welcome you to a grand tale of a legacy of old, a time when the isles of Arelith were as young as a newborn babe, only a few decades in civilization. Specifically, this work focuses on the chronicles of the long deceased or missing Darkshar heir.
