Umberlee's Wave Disciples

There are those servants of the great Queen of the Depths who serve in other capacities than the clergy. These are known as Wave Disciples and they are a terrible force to be reckoned with.

A Wave Disciple is tied to at least one Wavemistress or Wavemaster, and she is an extension of the priesthood she serves.

While the priests and priestess of Umberlee possess divine magic, a Wave Disciple is capable in other areas of expertise. One can easily separate Wave Disciples into two categories.

There are those who show expert physique and combat techniques, these are the martial Wave Disciples. Many take up the art of the fist, letting their Monkhood spill over into their devotion for the Water Queen. Others prefer to wield deadly weapons and serve their Wavemasters as fierce protectors and task-doers.

The other known branch of Wave Disciples are those who have a talent for the magical and mystical. Often, many a witch or warlock joins the ranks of the followers of Umberlee to become a Wave Disciple. Other times there are wizards and sorcerers, mages all who have studied the fine art of sea magic. Whether a witch or a wizard, these also assist their Dread priestesses and priests by serving as a Wave Disciple.
