1. The Coronation

A crowd tonight in soft moonlight, Begins to gather now, As many as the temple in, Old Myon will allow.

No walls to keep the people out, Were built over the years, No roof to close, but sky above, And stars as chandeliers.

The altars of our ancestors, Each statue in its place, The Seldarine alive in each, Illuminated face.

The handiwork of all our past, Together with ourselves, Will watch the coronation of, The leader of the elves.

The former leader rises to, Meet Karathas' face, Defeated in the vote but now, Triumphant in her grace.

Together now as equals we, Will join to watch him rise, And climb the steps to Imryll under, Cloudless, starlight skies.

And as she prays, fair Karathas, Begins to close his eyes, And closes too this chapter of, His mighty people's lives.

And opening his eyes he sees, The rising of new dawn, Of mighty Myon's future and, It's glory living on!

2. The Arrow

The Doctor used his evil arts, To murder many elves, And worse to make those blighted elves, To murder elves themselves.

But when the humans captured him, They kept him safe for trial, They let him to prepare defense, To safely leave the isle.

He rose at court and shamelessly, Began to tell his lies, And proudly stood with chin held high, In front of elven eyes.

But as he spoke, so sure to win, The arrow struck him down! For Arabanise would never, Let him leave the town.

Whoever comes to harm Quessir, Beware of what you do! For like the Doctor and his ilk, The arrow comes for you!

And though she knew she'd pay the price, She gladly gave herself, Just as her vows to Shevarash, Protected every elf.

And many more of Shevarash, Will rise to take her place, To shout to all who harm Quessir, And to the traitor race:

"No darkened hole in Underdark, Will hide you from our view! No matter where you try to hide, The arrow comes for you!"

3. The Art Festival

As sun was setting after busy day, And twilight pushed the purple light away, The Twilight garden slowly filled with elves, All smiling as they introduced themselves,

When Richter Van began to paint his art, He slowly narrates each and every part, He slowly pulls us in the painting too, Imagining his beauty into view.

He calls to all the elves to do the same, And all are given brush and paint and frame, Encouraged by the Coronal to try, To bring their visions out into the eye.

And for a while they're portals on display, To places long ago or far away, To visions of the painter's pristine past, To dreams of doing differently at last.

The mood was so inspiring to paint, I overcame my usual restraint, And tried to paint the dreams I had of you, The elegant and stylish things you do,

And when I finished, eager for your eye, I found you'd left before you'd said goodbye, And left the dreams of you I held so fast, To dry along with paint into the past.

But when I see that novice art today, It always opens portals to that day, And summons up those distant dreams of you, Made sweeter as they slowly fade from view.

4. Eyes in the Forest

I travelled through the forest when, Those Ogres spotted me! But Euraldor appeared from stealth, And came to rescue me!

And later when the Bugbears came, Surrounding me to fight, Euraldor starts to shoot them all, And puts them all to flight!

I'm coming out the portal and, Not minding where I walk, When Arawyn, invisible, Appears for quite a shock!

I went to take the portal at, The Nexus the next day, And Arawyn was hiding there, To watch me on my way!

Returning from my harvesting, I'm close to Myon fair, But when I go to portal up Elea's hiding there!

And sometimes when we're gossiping, Elearnawen is there! She waits for us to lower guard, And bursts into the air!

Fair Myon and the Forest here, Are wide and vast, it's true, But Myon elves still keep it safe And all within their view!

So even when you seem alone, When you're out travelling, You'll never have to fear, for elves are Always there watching!

5. Old Myon

The greenery that now abounds, In Myon's high and holy grounds, Is comforting and wholesome now, As fair as cities will allow.

But once the town was marble stone, And floated in the air alone, Protecting us so light and free, Surrounding us with symmetry.

Our houses and the bank arranged, So elegant and so restrained, All carefully built here and there, To keep our balance in the air.

No trees to tie us to the ground, We floated like a kingly crown, A private island in the sky, Away from pain and prying eye,

And in the center of the town, The Twilight Grove, its hallowed ground, No other place in all the land, Could ever top our old homeland.

To save the town the druids grew, These mighty trees now high in view, And covered our symmetric lanes, With fertile ground and grassy plains.

But I recall the symmetry, Of Old Myon aloft and free, Forever floating in the breeze, Within my treasured memories.

6. The Rivals

In Old Myon there were two elves, Who argued every day, They saw themselves as rivals who, Would duel it out someday.

When they would meet in Myon streets, They'd brag about themselves, Comparing stories to be seen, As best of all the elves.

While Rhydian the bard was strong, He used deception too, But Orythorion was proud, Too proud to mislead you.

But being proud he often would, Go too far in display, While Rhydian would wisely hold, And watch what he would say.

But rather than a fight, they start, To slowly change their view, With Ory becoming more calm, And Rhydian more true.

They started to compete instead, To become better elves, To show each other better ways, And learn from this themselves.

Their rivalry became a friendship, Much to our surprise, And each became the best of elves, Together in our eyes.

Creating what they might destroy, They showed a better way, And though they're gone, their rivalry, Inspires still today.
