Near the start of the Arelith Reckoning era, the Red Eclipse, or a similar ritual, was completed. For those unfamiliar with this cursed ritual; it has the power to bring forth the demon lord, Paush, into the Prime. During this time, Paush sought to have the Abyss consume Cordor and, therefore, be placed under the Demon Lord's rule. An early councilor of Cordor, of Kara-Turn descent and surname Jiharu, through negotiations and subtle deceit arranged to have Zanshiboon take the place of Cordor. Zanshiboon, originally a city within the desert of Sibayad, became a planar trading post for all sorts of beings, mostly of ill repute; including at least one illithid shop keeper. The surrounding desert became corrupted by the abyss; which had extremely heightened the, already intense, negative features of the area, notably /w the heat and navigational awareness. Sometime later, Elizabeth Flown desired to purify and claim the now Abyssal city as her own. During these attempts, and losing her life in the process, Zanshiboon progressed militarily. Paush had forced out, if not killed, any and all planar travelers. The locals of the city became Paush's garrison. (The above has been based on a tale from Amadeo Pneuma)
