A true jack of all trades, it's difficult to find his fingerprint in some lost page of any single event in his time of activity. For much of his time on the island he acted as a merchant. From when he came to the island, to well more than twenty years after, he commanded the Trackless Sea Trading Company, the result of Cordor's pet project AMAS, the Association of Merchants, Artisans and Scribes. These exploits are well known to have gotten him a hard-matched fortune surpassing four million gold coins.
His political actions stemmed from this merchant activity, leading him to be a Councilor of Cordor, whose term lasted a similar twenty-odd years. His last term was spent rooting out corruption in the Council at the cost of his political career. After leaving the political scene he never returned to directly take part as a Councilor.
The antics of this man are often attributed to his faith as an Akadian priest; he was well known to disappear for months at a time, map the island in his spare time, and pick up a variety of pet projects ranging from gathering spy networks to building statue gardens.
Dante Lyons is a figure often contested. Some claim him to be the moral beacon of sanity amongst an island full of extremes, and others would just as fervently claim him to be a wild tempest of chaos that took little regard of others. No matter the stance, his influence on the island is unmistakable, for better or worse.
